New Haven Eruv, Inc. is a registered charity established by members of the New Haven Jewish Community. Its single objective is to maintain a proper Eruv for the New Haven Jewish Community and its guests.
The Eruv is indebted to Miriam Pollak, a very talented New Haven artist, for the design and execution of the Eruv’s logo. The logo conveys the Eruv’s goal of helping all types of community members with diverse needs by creation of a boundary within which we can enjoy an enhanced Shabbat experience.
To receive New Haven and Yale Eruv status info via e-mail each Friday afternoon, send a note with your e-address to sezphl@aol.com.
The New Haven Eruv has good news and bad news.
The good news is that we have done an extensive upgrade to the Eruv physical structure, which makes it much more reliable than ever. The bad news is it cost us $20,165 and we have used up almost all of our reserves. Although our Eruv is physically sound, it is financially tenuous. We need to ask our supporters for an additional donation now!
Your generous yearly contributions cover our operating expenses but not these upgrades. Please make an additional contribution now, either by check in the enclosed envelope or via the PayPal link on our website- http://www.nheruv.net/contributions/. If you contribute $250 or more to this capital campaign, you can choose to dedicate a Shabbat and be acknowledged on our Whats App list and web page.
In addition you can pay us electronically via CashApp – $NHERUV
Without additional support, we will not be able to ensure that the Eruv is kosher every week. Please be generous! Wishing you much hatzlacha and good health, b’ezras HaShem !
Sincerely,
Miriam Sandman
